We spent one of Sunday in July in Porvoo. It was slightly cloudy and windy Sunday which was good for walking in old town of Porvoo. The old town of Porvoo is bigger than the old town in Naantali. I like old wooden houses by the Porvoo river. They are red wooden houses. More

Time really flies, is already late autumn now. One Sunday morning of last few weekends, there were many birds flew round the trees in front of our apartment. They were busied with berries on the trees. I managed recorded that scenes with our poor little Canon PowerShot digital camera. Have a look if you are interested. More

The romantic content of the Valentine’s day was not strong as you can feel in other countries. In Finland, 14th February is better known as Friendship day (Ystavanpaiva in Finnish). It is a day dedicated to the celebration of the beautiful bond of friendship. Finns will send gifts, chocolates and flowers to their friends.

Really different, right?

Well, our first Valentine’s day in Finland was simply. Nope, not candle light dinner but “normal light” dinner only. We just have home made dinner at home and of course, roses. More
