My first summer in Turku
Spring is not last that long in Finland, it is about 45 to 65 days only. Then, summer is coming. Summer begins in May in Turku and lasts until mid-September.
During summer the length of day becomes longer and longer. At the northern parts of Finland for example Lapland, the sun does not set at all. So, they have 24 hours sunshine. In Turku, the longest day (Midsummer) is nearly 19 hours long. I missed the Midsummer (middle of June) because I back to Malaysia on May.
When I returned to Turku it was already beginning of July. However, it still summer. I experienced the first time in my life which have sunshine for 18 hours more everyday. I have to close my window curtain during night in order to sleep. During summer, I not feel want go to bed although it was half past eleven at night. A bit odd? Yes, A bit but nice.
The temperature during summer is about 20°C to 25°C average. The highest summer temperatures in Turku I have experienced for this year was about 30°C. In summer, Finns are active and young ladies are wearing hot and sexy. Really, they are wearing hot and sexy, I’m not liar here. I really have my eyes open on this I told my girlfriend this also.
