I experienced a lot of different experiences here. I never thought I have a chance to be abroad. Before this, I just thought that only happen in my dream. However, it became true now. Year 2006, was my first year celebrated Chinese New Year or Lunar New Year outside Malaysia without my family members, without hot and humid climate but just snow, and -20°C environment. Cool, right? Yes, it was cold……. Not only this, the day time was really short at this moment; sunrise at 9:30am and sunset at about 3:30pm. After 4 o’clock afternoon, outside was become dark. It made me get confuse easily, because I don’t know I was overslept or time for me to go to bed.


During the Christmas week and the week before New Year, a lot of people were on vacation. Student Village and Turku Centre for Biotechnology became very quiet. I can feel a strong holiday mood surrounding me although I still came to work as usual. At this moment, you might start to think maybe you need to take vacation too.
