My first winter in Turku
I have experienced my first “real” winter on last November in Turku, Finland. Before this, I only can “playing” around with the human-made snow at Mines Wonderland in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia. My girl friend and I have our very first 2 weeks “winter” holiday in Turku, Tampere and Helsinki, Finland this January.
It was not very cold yet, about -10°C but the day time was really short. The sun raises at 9 something in the morning and sets at about 4 o’clock in the afternoon. The sky still remained dark when we were departed from my flat or hostel. On the other way round, when we were half way on our visit, the sky already became dark. We are from Malaysia, a tropical country where the sun shines 12 hours a long the year. This phenomenon gave us a different feeling at all. You will thought it was time for you to bed however it just about 6 o’clock in the late afternoon. I will blog more about our trip later…
