Maybe you have noticed that a new post entry which written in Chinese was posted on yesterday. Well, that is new author for Journeying blog. From now on, Journeying will contribute by two authors. The first post entry , Kite Runner – 追风筝的孩子 of the new author is a review about a book she had read.

After read the 2 years anniversary celebration of the Duller blog, I just realised that today actually is the first anniversary of my Journeying blog since I started my first post entry on 16th July 2006.

I received this email in the morning

I think you should have noticed that the server currently hosting your website down quite frequently. We suspect the server RAM is defected. We’re replacing the hardware and add another 1G RAM to the server.
I’m really sorry for the downtime.

Yes, my website was down for about 12 hours. My gf even thought someone had hacked my website \o/ because she can’t log on to it.

Now, my website is back to business. :razz:

I came across this dnScoop (one convenient package with many domain tools) at Edblog. You can have a look on your site’s traffic, domain whois, domain history, domain popularity, and domain appraisal (site value report). Besides, you can check your site’s link value appraisal (link value report), know about your site’s pagerank. Other than that, you can have a look on inbound links count, indexed pages and more. Well, it also tells you how much your site can earn if you are ads publisher (for example: text links ads).

It is really handy, try it. I believe you will find it informative to you, share it with you.

When I decided to move my blog from New Blogger (blogspot) to WordPress (my own domain), I wonder that how much time I need to spend on moving my posts manually from blogspot to new domain? WordPress 2.1 and below doesn’t support the import from New Blogger but old Blogger. I have switched to New Blogger user since last year. Therefore, this is a big problem to me.

Luckily, Daphne was kind enough to help me on this problem. She did some online search and reading for me while I’m busy with my lab works and other matters. She introduced to me this plugin; Import New Blogger To WordPress which allow me to import all my posts’ feeds in New Blogger to my new site. This plugin is written by Malaysian! Great! Wonderful!
