Leidseplein

We spent our third day of our trip a bit further from the city centre. This times we took tram (our legs were tired after walked a lot yesterday) to the Museums district. Stopped at Leidseplein square then we walked towards the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The Heineken Experience is near to the Rijksmuseum but we don’t plan to get ourselves drunk in the afternoon. No, not at this time.

During our trip, there are many museums under renovation. As the result, we don’t have chance to visit them. Luckily the Van Gogh Museum was not completely under renovation during our visit. But, Rijksmuseum was. Part of the museum was opened for public only. Shame. Same as Anne Frank House, visitors are not allow to take pictures inside the museum, can’t share pictures at here too.

At the square between these two museums, a slogan I AMsterdam is standing there. The slogan just stand right in front of the Rijksmuseum. Of course, there were a lot of tourists taking photos with that slogan. After visited both museums we decided to try our luck at Sex museum in the city centre. Walked on one of main street in the centre near to the Dam square, the busiest area in the city centre (panorama view), we found many shops are selling famous local Dutch speciality ~ French fries with mayonnaise and nearly everyone had a pack of French fried in hand.{/column2}

We don’t stop for that Dutch speciality because we wonder we might missed the business hours of the Sex museum.
