Amsterdam Anne Frank House

Western church

On the second day, we visited the famous Anne Frank House museum. Luckily, we were there early if not the Q will be very long. However, visitors are not allow to take any picture inside the museum. Can’t share pictures at here. How about a virtual tour at the official site. This was the hiding place of Anne Frank’s family during second World War II when German army controlled the Netherlands and applied anti-Jewish measures there. During hiding time, Anne Frank kept a diary. My wife told me her diary has been translated into more than 65 languages around the world. I don’t know that, shame, shame… :|

The entrance of their hiding (the secret annex) was covered by a moveable bookcase. It looks like normal bookcase if no one tries to move it away. When we walked into the secret annex, a lot of imagination and feelings were come together in my mind. Level by level up in the museum, the feeling was completely different than the other museum we had visited before. This is a “live” museum, telling the story by the itself.

Several canal scenery during our tour.
