Day trip to Naantali

We visited Naantali on weekend of week 27. The weather was good, sunny day and not so windy. We spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed coffee and cake in the sun. Naantali, sunshine town, one of the historical towns in Finland. When speaking of Naantali, children in Finland will like it very much. Why? (more…)

What is special in Amsterdam? If you ask, we will tell you the bicycles. Biking is common practice in Amsterdam. Citizens of Amsterdam use bicycle as their vehicle for daily activities. You can find the bicycle paths and bike racks throughout the city. There even a 3 levels building serves as bicycle parking lot (have a look on the picture) near to the Amsterdam Train Central Station. Can you imagine how many bicycles you can find in the city? Many bicycles are stolen every year, therefore, local have their bike locked with big and fat chain together with lock. You can imagine how heavy is the chain with lock. But, the Dutch ladies just carry it inside their handbag. Hummm…… (more…)

Amsterdam Windmill

Windmill

Last day in Amsterdam. But, we still have whole morning and afternoon time for our visit before we left for Finland. We visited one of the landmark of Netherlands, Windmill or Molen De Gooyer at Funenkade. This windmill is located near to the city centre. It is a cafe nowadays than corn mill. We walked further to the Oost district then Artis Zoo (Natura Artis Magistra). Since we don’t have much time left, we don’t buy tickets for the Zoo. We did took some a couple of photos around when we were there. (more…)

Amsterdam Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum

Leidseplein

We spent our third day of our trip a bit further from the city centre. This times we took tram (our legs were tired after walked a lot yesterday) to the Museums district. Stopped at Leidseplein square then we walked towards the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The Heineken Experience is near to the Rijksmuseum but we don’t plan to get ourselves drunk in the afternoon.
