Chinese New Year is around the corner, this is second times I’m not celebrate Chinese New Year together with my family members.

This card in my room was delivered by friend of mine from Malaysia last year. Currently he is in Taiwan for his further study, you can know more about him at his blog. I miss those days I used to receive Chinese New Year cards from friends back home when Chinese New Year is approaching.

I would like to say I miss Chinese New Year and the Chinese New Year card.

The weather on last December was so strange. Warm, then became cold and then became warm again. Besides, it was rainy and no snow. After experience a strange December, the weather starts become below zero degrees Celsius and finally it was snow on yesterday. It was heavily snow on yesterday afternoon until night. After that, everywhere in Turku was cover with a thick layer of snow.

Last December was the warmest December in Finland history. In Finland, the weather will become below zero degrees Celsius during December or late November. However, the weather on last December was completely above zero degrees Celsius. Besides, it was no much snow until now. After the first snow on November 2006 the weather became warm, rainy, and snow melted. By this time of the year, the Aura River should freeze but not this year. It is really strange; the weather is really strange this winter.

After my very first blogger’s meet, now I have a chance meet with the founder of the MalaysiansAbroad.net, Daphne and family too. We met at Turku city centre in the afternoon. It was Sunday, many shops were closed; therefore, it was a bit quiet in the city centre.

I have my first blogger’s meet on 28.12.2006 after blogging for about 5 months (actively) in Turku, Finland. I met the blogger in UK, Howsy while he had his short Christmas/New Year vacation in Finland. He stopped in Turku for a night.

On the next day, he went for sightseeing and then we have our lunch in a Malaysian owned Chinese Restaurant near to my working place. We have taken photo there but I’m not uploading it here. Howsy prefers to be anonymous; therefore, you can have a look on his heavily cropped photo in his post to proof we were met :)
