PM: Towards the advanced nations, the space programme is not extravagant

(Ipoh 22nd) - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said, Malaysia spent huge amount of money to send astronaut to the space, is not a waste, but is one the effort to bring the country towards the goal of the advanced nations. The most important thing is Malaysia still have enough money and the ability to have prosperity and peace development plans for the people.

The space programme is not extravagant? What do you think?

I do prefer we make sure our public transportation system, social care system, basic infrastructures, safety in the society, other needs and etc. are well established first then only talk about this space programme. I don’t see other developed countries in the world compete for space programme. Maybe I’m wrong or pessimistic, perhaps.

Badawi is very good at uttering nonsense. What he says and what is happening are two different things. Does he not realise how st**id he sounds? This has been proven many times now. As Lulu posted he is a misplaced Miss Universe contestant. One day the people are going to close their ears when he speaks.
