Salary still not hike 04

During lunch time, I told my colleagues here the fuel price in Malaysia was hiked 41% to RM2.70 per liter (about 0.53€ per liter). To them it is cheap HOWEVER they said it is not fair to compare the fuel price with that only. We have to look at the average income and the living cost in that country then only fair to compare the fuel price is cheap or expensive.

See, even foreigners say this to me, what our government had told us? CHANGE your lifestyle, our government told us. I’m very agree with the points of the The Consumer Association of Penang in Malaysiakini. Government should you change your life style first? Set an example rather than talk and no action.

I also learned from MageP’s Lab and Rocky’s Bru that the webiste of Prime Minister of Malaysia was Hacked due the fuel price hiked. The site is down now from maintenance, you can have a look on the pdf file at MageP’s Lab.

Thanks to TehSee for highlighting this letter published on 6th April 2008 in theStar online. Yes, the author has good points on that. Worth for us to think and perhaps ask the Government to act on that.

People are really angry, however don’t we have responsibility for what happen now? Have we monitor closing and dare to voice for correction? Ask yourself from deep of your heart. How many people dare and care to do so? Many will say this is non of their business, they are not that holy, is better to think how to earn more money. However, how much you can earn in a month? How much time you have spared for your family and your children? A policy from our government like this can change your entire annual expenses in a very short time, have you seen the impact now?
