Now you see, now you don’t

Penang monorail project and Penang Outer Ring Road have been official putting on hold in mid-term review of the 9th Malaysian Plan. Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department (EPU) had confirmed the news however PM didn’t mention a single word regarding that in his speech at Dewan Rakyat this morning.

On the other hand, a new commission will be established to plan and coordinate all public transport systems in out nation. Question is how long they will need?

Will it end up like Now you see, now you don’t?

Commission, commission, study, study, how many commission and studies they need to have? After all, still lip services more than real action. VERY tired to these lah, really tired to these lah.

I feel sorry for the Penangites. But don’t worry, they can still come to KL for monorail rides. :insult:

If you are aware of the cancellation of the double track from seremban to Johor baru in 2004 you will not be surprise.
Now,in 2008, the project is on again but the contract prices are much much higher than before.
We,tax payers, have to shoulder the extra cost just because someone made the blunder or gain(?).
Maybe, in near future, the Penang project will be on again, with much higher price .
