Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said Malaysia Government will continue with its policy of openness and listen to the views of the people but no one should take advantage of this openness to create trouble.
Q: This is a warning to the groups?
A: To anyone. Don’t twist (the matter). Malays or others, don’t kacau (cause trouble). If you want to ask, ask properly. Don’t buat kacau (cause trouble). Our country is peaceful. God does not make problems by causing typhoons, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, but human beings want to make problems, for what? We are very peaceful. If there is a problem, discuss it properly. That is important.

The ASLI (Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute) report is an academic report, a scientific report, a data report which several mathematic methodologies were conducted. There are many methodologies to conduct a research, please understand this. The report just likes theses written by researchers in Universities after their scientific research have done. Please understand what thesis mean is. The different here is most of theses were kept in Universities library without public reachable and ASLI report was published to public.
I have read a research paper which conducted at University of Oxford regarding the New Economic Policy (NEP) in Malaysia. Besides, there are a series of research papers on New Economic Policy and public easy to get to. Now, what Malaysia Government will act about this?
Who takes advantage at this matter? Who use hard word to a scientific report? Read the news* published on local newspapers and then ask it yourself honestly from your deep heart.

Nothing to hide
This is a good article.
Democratic governments should encourage public debate instead of issuing gag orders and dissuading questions on government policies.
