Thursday, November 27th, 2008

Bloody bastard remark,

Sexual innuendoes,

“Dia (Mujahid) tak masuk lagi, dah lama tak masuk. Main tepi saja” and “Bila nak keluar lagi air dia?”

Well educated, huh? Yet, never be punished. This is the MP represents your constituency in house? (more…)

Other Malaysians have their rights too 02

Wednesday, August 20th, 2008

What a narrow minded decision by our Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministry to cancel the concert of Avril Lavigne! Don’t forget to count in the PAS Youth too. “Special” thanks to them. Anwar should worries about the outcome of the by-election in Permatang Pauh too because other Malaysians may worries base on many aggressive remarks and protests from PAS. (more…)

Dressing code

Friday, July 11th, 2008

Dressing of reporters still is an issue at Parliament (threat of security at Parliament?). Security guards of Parliament act like Moral Police and reporters seem to be their target. Curious, their job title is Security Guard but concern more about the length of skirt of female reporters than security matter in house. This just like the security guards in our local universities. They go after dressing of students than take good care of security matter in campus. Easy target? Sound like what to you?

Besides, do you really believe when someone dress up nicely then he/she will be a wise, rational, knowledgeable, mature, humble human? What about the example below?. Nice suit, nice tie, isn’t it? (more…)

What kind of security guards are?

Thursday, July 10th, 2008

Niamah! This is the word in my mind when read this news this morning.

What kind of parliament security guards we have there? Their job is taking care the security of the Parliament not the length of skirts of female journalists! As I mentioned many times, we famous for bad reasons. Now we repeat it again. Shameful. (more…)

What if the other way round?

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

I’m a question in my mind, what about his daughter(s) and his wife (perhaps wives) thought about his words? He said one of the reasons marital problems happened is

“Such problems happen because women cannot accept polygamy. From a preventive point of view, what about doing a big campaign so that women can accept polygamy?”

and he also said, (more…)

Ministry, this is a discrimination against females

Sunday, May 4th, 2008

When I read this news, I really wonder Malaysian females don’t know how to take care themselves? Maybe some of them maybe need more attention however you should not come out this kind of proposal!

They are an adult, many of them are well educated, and success in their career. They are not a child! They should learn to be responsible to their act, themselves. Sooner or later, they may be mother of one or more also. If they can’t learn how to take care themselves how can they be parent?

I really don’t think they should get consent from their family first to go abroad. Inform their family about their trip, yes. But, get consent from family first, no.

Your intension maybe is good, but, it sound blaming Malaysian females are childish especially those go abroad. Don’t you think (more…)

‘Live’ strip tease on 8TV

CALL it enthusiasm but the head of 8TV station was not amused when a singer started taking off his clothes during a live show.

Harian Metro reported that One In A Million contestant Faizal Tahir created controversy when he took off his jacket, singlet and belt before throwing them to the audience of about 8,000 people.

He was among several singers invited to perform at Bandar Utama on Sunday night to celebrate the station’s fourth anniversary. 8TV chief executive officer Ahmad Izham Omar viewed the incident as a serious matter. “I’m shocked. We will meet him soon to seek an explanation,” he said. “All performers are well aware of the guidelines for shows or concerts shown live on TV.”

Victory for topless bathers

A swimming pool in northern Sweden has said it will allow women to bathe topless, following a campaign by feminists.

A spokesman for the pool, part of Sundsvall’s municipal leisure centre, said that employees there had decided they would not act if women tried to bathe semi-naked.

“We’re used to naked people. Nobody cares,” Per-Erik Ulander told local paper Dagbladet, adding that women could still be asked to cover up if other bathers take offence.

The Bara Bröst network - which translates both as ‘bare breasts’ and ‘just breasts’ - last year started its campaign for women to be allowed to swim without tops by stripping off at a pool in Uppsala. The protesters were ejected from the pool. Since then, campaigners have launched protest actions across the country, which have usually resulted in them being asked to leave.

The decision by the pool is the first real victory for the group, which has around 40 members.

“This is positive,” said group member Ragnhild Karlsson to news agency TT.

The group faced a setback in November after the Swedish sexual equality ombudsman (Jämo) ruled that it was not discriminatory for women to be banned from bare-breasted bathing. Karlsson rejected the ombudsman’s conclusions:

“The only sensible thing is to have the same rule for men as for women. If women can’t be without a top, then men shouldn’t get away with it either,” she said.

Why says it first then apologies later?

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

This is not the FIRST times he had this kind of remark in public but in Parliament too. Learned from mistake(s), hasn’t he?

Badruddin apologises for comment

KUALA LUMPUR: Backbencher Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai) apologised on Thursday to women in general for the “terowong” (tunnel) comment he made during the recent Umno General Assembly.

Badruddin said he had no malice or any intention to degrade women when he uttered the word.

He said he only meant it as a joke as he was not referring to any body parts of a woman.

He added that the “terowong” he meant was the gap between the stewardess’ skirt and legs.

“I did not mean to offend anyone and I sincerely apologise to all women.”

“I have a lot of respect for women because my mother, a woman, gave birth to me, and I have an 18-year-old daughter,” he said in the Parliament lobby. **

Badruddin was commenting on Karpal Singh’s (DAP-Bukit Gelugor) plan of organising a signature campaign against him for uttering the remark that was deemed sexist.

At the recent Umno General Assembly Badruddin was reported to have said, “Yes, we can see a tunnel in her skirt” after an Umno delegate complained that AirAsia stewardesses’ skirts were too short.

** We heard this explanation before. Does it mean he can continues to “offence” females then apologise with this “explanation” again? Well, use your vote to decide. By the way, why his female colleagues so “silent” about it?

Same as this. The whole building collapsed. Well, how many times we have to pay the price later? I don’t know, I lost track.

Samy shocked, wants answers

KUALA LUMPUR: The collapse of a two-storey building on a hillslope at the edge of Tasik Banding in Gerik, Perak, has Works Minister Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu reeling with disbelief.

“I am shocked and I want answers,” said a furious Samy Vellu, who called for action to be taken against the contractor if it was found that structural failure caused the collapse.

It was fortunate that no one was hurt “but there must be some action,” he said.

On Tuesday, the building began to collapse at 8am and crumbled completely two hours later.
