Extremist? My foot!

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Thanks to Susan Loone for her highlight.

I really TL to the way they reported the news. When people want to have peaceful rally on streets, they said it is not Malaysian culture (but, they can do it), it cause a lot of troubles to the shops nearby (police road blocks cause the traffic jams and block here and there make the atmosphere become fear-like), violence might happened during the rally on the street, blah, blah, blah… So, they suggested their “Brilliant idea place for rally” ~ a stadium.

When the rally held at Stadium, they reported in this way. (more…)

No permit for Protest rally - No surprise

Friday, January 25th, 2008

No surprise to this. IF PDRM is granted a permit for this kind of protest, I believe it will be a HUGE surprise in Malaysia.

They explained they are not in favour of government nor UMNO but safety of the public.

No permit for Protes rally

KUALA LUMPUR: The police will not allow the Coalition Against Inflation (Protes) to stage a price hike rally tomorrow despite Protes informing police about the rally.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Zulkarnain Abdul Rahman said police would not allow the rally, which is to take place in front of KLCC.

“We have not issued any permit as their letter to us does not meet our requirements. As such the gathering will be deemed illegal and we advise the public against participating in any way,” he said.

He said all roads leading to and near KLCC would be cordoned off in the morning and only be reopened when it was considered safe.

Interesting “survey(s)” and “NGOs”

Monday, December 17th, 2007

After the crackdown, we have more and more surveys result published in mainstream newspaper or more and more NGOs (appeared suddenly on the surface of Malaysia) came to front and voiced.

Present to you the latest survey which conducted on 17th December and 21st December 2007. Look carefully on the dates printed in newspaper. Yes, the survey is conducting on today and will be conducted in future but presenting to you the result now.

No to street protests

On the other hand, theStar online had different dates mentioned (Correction had been done? I don’t know)

‘No’ to street protests

PETALING JAYA: A large majority of Malaysians are against street protests and have backed the government’s decision to use the laws to stop anyone from threatening racial peace and harmony.

This was revealed in a survey conducted by the Merdeka Centre from Dec 7 to 12. Eight hundred and sixty one respondents from throughout the country, who were randomly selected along the lines of state of residence, ethnicity, gender and age (21 and above) were interviewed over the telephone for the survey.

I said already, IF the authorities can accept the result of a survey take part by 861 Malaysians (we have 27,000,000 population in Malaysia) and why can’t they accept the other surveys which the results are not in favour of them? Don’t be bias. (more…)

UPDATED:

Batu Caves temples not damaged

KUALA LUMPUR: While there was minor damage to the Batu Caves’ property, the temples were not damaged by Hindraf demonstrators who had gathered there early on Sunday morning.

“All the temples are okay. There’s no damage,” said Batu Caves supervisor S. Ratnam, 61, when met at his office yesterday.

Admitting that water cannons and tear gas were used to disperse the crowd, SAC Jamaluddin said they were forced to do so as the demonstrators pelted his officers and men with stones and bricks.

He said: “I must stress that police did not fire tear gas or use water canons inside the temple premises to disperse the more than 1,000 gathered there.” *

* Let the photos tell you more.

After the BERSIH rally, the mainstream media just demonstrated how well they can “spin” a story from this colour to other colour. They did it again (or not) when reported the Hindraf rally???

Batu Caves temple property damaged, 69 protesters held

Musa said no tear gas or water cannons were used at the demonstrators during the incident. *

* No tear gas or water cannons were use? Maybe you should spend a little of your time go through these PHOTOS first then you ask yourself what is that all about. (more…)
