By WONG SAI WANLIMA (Peru): The people should not expect the pump prices to be constantly reduced just because crude oil prices had now fallen below US$50 per barrel, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said.
He said the Government would stick to its planned review of pump prices every two weeks as this offered some sort of stability.[........]
Back to few months ago when the price of international crude oil was sky high; our Government kept on said they can’t continue subsidy fuel in Malaysia anymore. They also stressed that they wish to let the fuel prices in Malaysia go according global market prices.
While the global crude oil price is low now, why not let the fuel prices in Malaysia go free according global market prices? Have you heard what the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs said at Parliament on 18th November 2008? (more…)
