International warranty
Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008“Should I write this in my blog?” this is a question in my mind for months. Sharing a lesson I learned with RM3000 paid.
UPDATED
I received emails again before Christmas and after Christmas 2007.
Seriously, if you were me, will you send back the laptop?
This laptop has one year full warranty + 2 years limited international warranty; however, in less than 9 months this matter happened. The Technical Support in Malaysia was concluded it is not cover by warranty and I have to pay everything. What is the point to have so-called Warranty? I feel very ironic.
I bought my laptop (NEC Versa S3201) during PIKOM PC Fair in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in April 2007. When I bought this laptop I really concern about the International warranty. NEC sale representative told me that I can claim my warranty even I’m in Europe. I’m very sure about that because I really concern it. After double confirmed with NEC sale representative about the warranty I made my mind and bought this laptop.
However, in less than a month I had to claim my laptop warranty due to a defect on my laptop. I even had to send my laptop personally to NEC Customer Service Centre in Penang then had on site service in Puchong, Selangor.
Worse, in less than 12 months, I’m facing another problem at here; this time I just learned I paid RM3000 to buy a lesson. (more…)
