Salary still not hike 04

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

During lunch time, I told my colleagues here the fuel price in Malaysia was hiked 41% to RM2.70 per liter (about 0.53€ per liter). To them it is cheap HOWEVER they said it is not fair to compare the fuel price with that only. We have to look at the average income and the living cost in that country then only fair to compare the fuel price is cheap or expensive.

See, even foreigners say this to me, what our government had told us? CHANGE your lifestyle, our government told us. I’m very agree with the points of the The Consumer Association of Penang in Malaysiakini. Government should you change your life style first? Set an example rather than talk and no action.

I also learned from MageP’s Lab and Rocky’s Bru that the webiste of Prime Minister of Malaysia (more…)

No Controlled Prices On Fuel In August

KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 (Bernama) — There will be no controlled prices on petrol and diesel with the implementation of a subsidy mechanism in August, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad said Tuesday.

He said the government was considering two fuel subsidies mechanisms — “cash income” and setting quotas. He said the fuel prices in Malaysia would reflect the global market prices.

China Earthquake Relief Fund

Figures collected from various UN agencies by the International Federation of the Red Cross indicate that between 68,833 and 127,990 people were killed by Cyclone Nargis that swept Myanmar early this month.

And the UN is now warning that 2.5 million people are facing hunger and disease.

Until today, military government of Myanmar still doesn’t very welcome any helpers from around the World to give aid for the victims of Cyclone. I do believe the situation there should be become worst now. ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) should do something in terms of humanity for the victims of Cyclone in Myanmar. What a shame we have such association in Southeast Asia region but do nothing. ASEAN should press the Myanmar government accept aids from around the World in terms of HUMANITY. (more…)

What if the other way round?

I’m a question in my mind, what about his daughter(s) and his wife (perhaps wives) thought about his words? He said one of the reasons marital problems happened is

“Such problems happen because women cannot accept polygamy. From a preventive point of view, what about doing a big campaign so that women can accept polygamy?”

and he also said, (more…)

I fully agree with this blogger’s opinion in his post entry at Citizen’s blog. This piece of news really disturb me.

Proposal to prosecute non-Muslims for khalwat

KUALA LUMPUR: A seminar on Syariah Law review wants non-Muslims found committing khalwat (close proximity) with Muslims to also be held liable.

This was among the proposals made at the two-day seminar organised by the Islamic Institute of Understanding Malaysia (Ikim) and the Syariah Judiciary Department Malaysia.

Syariah Court of Appeal Judge Datuk Mohd Asri Abdullah said the seminar had proposed that non-Muslims committing khalwat with Muslims should also be sentenced accordingly, but in the civil courts.

What about those inter religious love relationships (married-couple-to-be) or inter races love relationships (married-couple-to-be)? Don’t tell me, ask yourself. (more…)

Life lost again 02

Saturday, August 4th, 2007

I just learned that the young victim, who had strangled in her house in Bandar Mahkota, Cheras is my friend’s cousin. I really feel sorry to hear that. My condolence to the victim’s family and my friend.

How many life we able to lose?
How many life we able to lose?
How many life we able to lose?

When we really can have a safe and secure society? We are going to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Independence; however, when we can celebrate low crime rates in our society?
