Malaysia Today blocked! Order from MCMC

Controversial online portal Malaysia Today had its access blocked by the country’s largest internet service provider (ISP) TMnet. Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) chief operating officer Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi confirmed that the block was ordered by the commission.
“It is being blocked because we found that some of the comments on the website were insensitive, bordering on incitement,” he told Malaysiakini. The curb however does not appear to be enforced by other ISPs and users are able to access Malaysia Today.
As at 4pm, a check by Malaysiakini showed users can still access Malaysia Today through three other major ISPs - Jaring, Maxis and Time. However, MCMC said that all ISPs have been told to block the errant website.[......]
