Tuesday, July 22nd, 2008

Chinese, Indian, and other races already in Malaysia for century(ies). However, in order to gain back power, they dare to play the flame by playing racial card again and again. Are they really care about the nation? Power is most important than other?

KUALA LUMPUR: Police roadblocks leading into the city caused massive jams throughout Monday morning, with Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar issuing an apology to the Malaysian public but reiterating that the police operations were undertaken in the interest of public security. [......]

Perhaps, those drivers should send your petrol bill to the police since the price of petrol is damn expensive now.

Police had set up roadblocks since Sunday because they believes someone will have rally at Parliament. Besides, reporters are barred to enter the Parliament today at beginning. Police said their operations were in concern of public security. What do you think? (more…)

Dressing code

Friday, July 11th, 2008

Dressing of reporters still is an issue at Parliament (threat of security at Parliament?). Security guards of Parliament act like Moral Police and reporters seem to be their target. Curious, their job title is Security Guard but concern more about the length of skirt of female reporters than security matter in house. This just like the security guards in our local universities. They go after dressing of students than take good care of security matter in campus. Easy target? Sound like what to you?

Besides, do you really believe when someone dress up nicely then he/she will be a wise, rational, knowledgeable, mature, humble human? What about the example below?. Nice suit, nice tie, isn’t it? (more…)

Extremist? My foot!

Sunday, July 6th, 2008

Thanks to Susan Loone for her highlight.

I really TL to the way they reported the news. When people want to have peaceful rally on streets, they said it is not Malaysian culture (but, they can do it), it cause a lot of troubles to the shops nearby (police road blocks cause the traffic jams and block here and there make the atmosphere become fear-like), violence might happened during the rally on the street, blah, blah, blah… So, they suggested their “Brilliant idea place for rally” ~ a stadium.

When the rally held at Stadium, they reported in this way. (more…)

Media boycott over Parliament access
Beh Lih Yi | Jun 24, 08 10:52am

More than 100 journalists are staging a boycott after the Parliament administration cut media access to the building’s lobby and barricaded the area. In protest, journalists from all print, online and electronic media have decided to only cover the proceedings in the Dewan Rakyat and boycott all press conferences or events held outside of the chamber.

Media has called off their boycott today after the “RED barricades” were removed. I believe no one can guarantee no “surprise decision” in Parliament in future.

I feel very funny and ironic when I read words of Deputy speaker, (more…)
