Armed gang robbery cases had risen by 14143 cases
Few weeks ago, our home minister and deputy home minister said that the crime index in Malaysia is not at “critical” level. They warned the public don’t simply listen to other parties or rumors. However, does this number tells you the story the other way round? BUT, read between the lines in that piece of news, you will see.
[......]“I don’t deny that economic pressure such as not having enough money can contribute to crime, but crime will happen only when there is an opportunity due to an individual’s negligence and carelessness.”[......]
[......]“A study is being conducted but we will only know the findings early next year.”***
However, he said, the 1.75 per cent increase in the crime index until October was still low compared with those of the neighbouring countries, making Malaysia a safe country to live in.[......]
*** Sir, we do not need to know what is the reason causing this high crime index, we care the safety than the reason behind. Please don’t give us a bunch of reasons or numerics but the streets still not safe, sir.
Walking on the street now is no longer feeling secure even in day time. Ordinary people no matter what ethnic you are just want feel secure and save to walk on the streets, carrying out daily activities without worrying front or rear. Layman like you and the other just want this simple thought only.
Sir, you can deployed 1600 police forces to prevent a “predicted” peaceful demonstration, why can’t you even deploy maybe 1/4 of them to encounter the high crime index in our nation?
