SHAH ALAM (Oct 28. 2008): The appointment of Low Siew Moi as Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) acting general manager (GM) for one year starting Nov 1, may well be reduced to a few days or weeks, depending on PAS’s ability to come up with a better and more suitable candidate, said Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hassan Ali.[......]

Confirmed: Jalan Alor remains, no name change

KUALA LUMPUR: Mayor Datuk Ab Hakim Borhan confirmed that the “Jalan Alor” name will be retained after meeting with the Federal Territory-Kuala Lumpur road-naming committee.

He said the committee was aware of the signficance of the name to the people, businesses and tourists.[......]

The DBKL (Kuala Lumpur City Hall) doesn’t sensitive enough what the impact is when they decided to change the Alor street (Jalan Alor) to Kejora street (Jalan Kejora). They are considering the Solar system theme as streets name for Bukit Bintang (Star hill) areas. Name the street after star name will suits Bukit Bintang (Star hill)? (more…)
