JOHOR BAHARU, April 27 (Bernama) — A local company and its overseas partner plan to set up Space Science University of Malaysia (UniSam) costing RM6.1 billion on 2,500-acre site in Kota Tinggi.

Next Systems Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Noor Faizal Abdul Samad said the university would be equipped with modern and international-standard space science laboratories and recruit renowned experts.

“If the proposal is accepted, Malaysia will emerge as the third country in the world to have a space science university after Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, United States, and International Space University in Strasbourg, France,” he told Bernama recently.

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

First, second Penang bridge been delayed. Now, the PORR and monorail projects also have yet to be approved by the Federal Government and have not reached the “approval stage”.

May I ask why all of you were “jumping up and down” so loud before for those MEGA projects? Are you trying to tell us all of that just BLUFFING? Base on what happened in Penang now, we maybe can put it in this way, all MEGA projects are BLUFFING, many of those MEGA projects are not yet be approved by the Federal Government. What for? Faiz: Continue space programme

KUALA LUMPUR: The Angkasawan programme should continue, with the funding shared among the relevant ministries that will benefit from the aerospace industry, suggested Mejar Dr Faiz Khaleed. The second Angkasawan said the space mission should no longer be about sending a Malaysian to space but for Malaysia to embark on the aerospace industry.

I read his words in newspaper. He said “developing research and development means investment”. It is true, R&D is an investment. But, in this case, I would rather prefer down-to-earth R&D.

Recently, we heard from our PM many projects are in reviewing, for example (more…)

We have Bac. Forensic Sci. now but…

Monday, April 21st, 2008

Again, we never learned! This is a waste of money, time, and man power! We always have something SIOK-sendiri instead of fully utilise it. What a shame! Some rules should be changed for the need of current situation. I really don’t know how to express my feeling about that. I only can say what a waste, what a waste, what a waste!

IF they are not yet ready (PDRM and Jabatan Kimia), don’t simply come out something for people. This is matter of their future not a joke or for fun! You asked students take the course and then you tell them sorry there are not suitable position in both departments later. This is not for fun, they are not white rat in laboratory. (more…)
