Soft skill programme? 03

Saturday, March 31st, 2007

At last, UM VC voiced. She promised affected students can now choose any product for their report without having any marketing campaign.

UM VC: Company exploited our students
Universiti Malaya blamed a private company for turning a ‘soft skills’ programme into a direct sales seminar which used the students as guinea pigs earlier this month.

Rafiah said the speakers from Aznita Management Sdn Bhd were expected to share their experience in successful entrepreneurship and not market their insurance product (Amcash).

Who should be blamed actually? No one?

Besides, from the first day of that incident until recently (refer here and here), do you see any members of Student Representative Council step out to voice and represent for those undergraduates? Maybe those undergraduates forgot to “lodge” a report to the Council.

Curb? How about shut it down?

Government Asked To Curb Bloggers
KUALA LUMPUR, March 29 (Bernama) — The government has to find ways to curtail bloggers from abusing the Internet to spread lies and defame the leaders, said Datuk Ismail Sabri Yaakob (BN-Bera).

“We notice that a lot of bloggers have been sowing the seeds of discord among the races, religions… I believe there must be a limit,” he said in a debate on the royal address in the Dewan Rakyat here today.

He felt that there ought to be a law governing bloggers like those imposed on the print and broadcast media.

“The people believe more in the bloggers than the newspapers… I am aware that a newspaper was censured by the Internal Security Ministry for publishing a sensational story but the bloggers could continue churning out malicious stories,” he said.

How about shut down the internet connection in Malaysia, better, solve the problem once and for all. You curb the bloggers, people still can access to other websites in other countries. When if people have different opinions about the current administration, will you propose government must “curb” the internet access too?

MP: Act against ‘insiders’ who leak info
A Barisan Nasional (BN) parliamentarian today urged the government to act against ‘insiders’ who reveal information to internet blogs and news portals.Debating the motion to thank the royal address in the Dewan Rakyat, Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) asked why blogs and portals are not monitored and are there laws to regulate them.

“Has the police investigated these internet sources?” he questioned.

“I wonder where these sources get their information from, how do they know from A to Z of every matter they report.

“The leakage of information to internet sources must have come from insiders,” he said, adding that action must be taken against them.

Does he means even the insider(s) can not tell the truth if there is(are) something wrong or power abused? or Does he means the one tells truth should be punished ?

Blame on blogs and internet again. Please, review yourself first then only “point” to the others.

Everything happen, the RAKYAT (citizen) must wrong, the RAKYAT (citizen) can’t ask more.

Friday, March 23rd, 2007

UPDEATED:

———————————

I have difficulties with the supplier of my project here yesterday evening. I was headache to solve the difficulties caused. Well, I received a call from Malaysia at 3:32am (local time) today.

Just imagine you were in the bed on that time and suddenly you received a call from home. “Early morning call is not a good call” this is a saying we used to hear. It is true!

The call was made by a debt collecting company on behalf of TM Net. She was rude and impatience in the phone. I was awaken by her, how can I answer her with CLEAR mind?

She told me that I still unsettled my Streamyx bill for the year 2005. She asked me wish to pay or not. She also told me that I was blacklisted by TM Net due the unsettled bill. WHAT !!! Now is 2007 !!!

Call us Encik (Mr.)

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

Just call us Encik, says top cop
KUALA LUMPUR: There is no need for members of the public to address police personnel as “Datuk” or “Tuan” as this would not assure them of special attention or service.

I never call the police personnel as Tuan (Sir). I used to call them Encik (Mr.) or Cik (Miss) even he/she is an Inspector. Why? We are not Police officers; we should not address them like that.
