Chief Executive of the state governments of Kedah Dato’ Seri Mahdzir bin Khalid said that Malaysian should consider use bicycle as their transport for short traffic in order to overcome the high petrol rate problem nowadays. In his recent inspection tour in Germany, he found that it is a common practice for German cycle to work or somewhere else. He said it is worthwhile to follow the practice of the Malaysian.I would like to say does something not say only. I’m not in position to talk about the cycling situation in Germany but I can talk about condition in Turku.

Two new Chinese schools will be built under the Ninth Malaysia Plan (9MP). They are SJK (C) Tun Tan Siew Sin in Putra Heights, Selangor, and SJK (C) Kulai (2) in Johor. Education Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said “We have our ways of discussing such issues and it is not our style to make an announcement until everything – such as the land, location and allocation – has been sorted out*” he said after his ministry’s post-Cabinet meeting yesterday.

At the same time

The first premier paid school toilet in Malaysia I assume

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

UPDATED: The high school spokesman mentioned that the “well-equipped toilets” is not a luxury, but to allow students to enjoy a healthy and comfortable environment toilet. But, the school is hoped that students wishing to use this service will be jointly “donating money (maximum RM0.10)” to maintain. Students are allowed to use the toilet even they just donate RM0.01.

He said that the school decided to implement this “well-equipped toilets” after the toilets being deliberately undermined by naughty students many times.(source: Sin Chew Daily)

What say you?
How about pay Serdang Baru I primary school a visit? I read a news (same newspaper) several years ago. A news regarding how they mantain and upgrade their toilets without asking any “donantion entrance fee” from students.

We heard about the premier paid toilet in KLCC Suria for so long time. People have to pay RM2.00 to use the toilets. NOW, we have another “premier paid toilet”. It is not in any Malaysia shopping malls but in a high school (Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sri Serdang) at Sri Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia.

The school has changed one of the two toilets as “luxury” toilet; the other remaining as ordinary toilet. This was begun two weeks ago. Students have to pay RM0.10 to enter the toilets and they have to take off their white shoes change into slippers before enter the toilets.

Let’s do some simple maths here.

Assuming a student needs go to toilet 2 times a day, then he or she needs to pay RM0.20 per day. In a week, he or she has to pay RM1.00 for toilet entrance fees. Then, in a month he or she needs to pay RM4.00. Let’s say only half of the total students (assume total is 1000 students) in that high school will use that luxury toilet in a month. Then, the school will have RM2000 income from that luxury toilet in a month.

Hey, that is another way to make money!!!

Question is, this is a fully funded school by Ministry of Education Malaysia. Are they really running out of money? As the result, some student chose to patient urine in order to boycott the school. Does the school cares about their students health?

A song modified by Streamyx users in Malaysia

The live version

The rock and angry version

A Chinese song (太委屈 too grievance) was modified by Streamyx users in Malaysia. Yes, it is a song but it means a lot. What can we do if the business is monopolise by one company and the authority still allows the monopolise culture going on? The users already did what ever they can. The rest is beyond their power. You may think they are funny; modify a song to make them comfort. But, please look at the meaning behind and the message behind!

The lousiest ISP in the world

Monday, September 25th, 2006

This happen recently when my girlfriend tried to apply a Streamyx account for her sister. For your information, the TM net web page which allow customers to send their complaints will gives “ERROR” message when you click on send button. Ya, even the call in customer service centre gives error message too. So, they will tell you “We don’t receive complaints for our be-loved customers.”

To whom it may concern,

I was extremely disappointed with your online application service. I’ve tried many times to sign up a streamyx account for my sister but unfortunately many times were end up with system down or error. In one month ago, I’ve registered my application via member get member programme and got an offline MIPS order number. I have waited for two weeks but unfortunately this had turn up to be ‘no such application’ when I was told by your service centre. In this wireless era, i thought online registration should be very efficient, unfortunately, this doesn’t applicable to TM Net.

Now, second chance is given (of course, i don’t have second choice as you all have given the chance to monopolise the market but do not know how to appreciate this golden chance). I’ve registered my application yesterday

I got the offline MIPS order number again : 111-20060924-*********. Today, I tried to log on and check my application status, unfortunately, my application was not found in your system. What’s happening now? I am unbearable to wait for another two weeks and finally your people tell me my application is a ghost application. In this competitive world, time is very precious. I indeed need your people to help me to get my registration done. Or at least, tell me where I have done wrongly.

Very frustrated customer
